The theme for the Men Without Shirts competition is “giving the shirt off your back” to support a great cause. The cause is the “Stop Aids Project” which is informing the public of this pandemic. Help us put an end to this disease worldwide. During 2007 around two and a half million adults and children became infected with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), the virus that causes AIDS. By the end of the year, an estimated 33.2 million people worldwide were living with HIV/AIDS. The year also saw more than two million deaths from AIDS, despite recent improvements in access to antiretroviral treatment.
The concept of the Men Without Shirts Competition was to develop a vast media and industry showcase for an all male model extravaganza while benefiting a worthy cause. We utilize our industry relationships to bring together a competition that will blow the doors off of other competitions.
Men Without Shirts Competition is Produced by Emerging Magazine, the Arts and Entertainment Broadcast Magazine. Emerging Magazine dedicates itself to the promotion of artists, musicians, models, actors and other entertainers through the most advanced media outlets possible: television, podcasts, the internet and live multi-media events. Emerging Magazine utilizes these media outlets to promote and support worthy causes through its productions.
The competition is a two-part process; online voting by the public and celebrity judging the day of the event, where the “Most Desirable Man in the World” will be announced. The top 3 vote-getters will win a Cash Prize, a One Year Modeling Contract, Model Portfolio as well as other benefits to their modeling careers. The competition is open to inexperienced men, amateurs breaking into modeling and professional male models from around the globe.
